Bank of America sought to enhance their POS systems by introducing a feature that allowed merchants to accept donations to various charities at the time of checkout. The objective was to develop an application that could automatically round up transaction amounts or allow customers to select a specific donation amount. Additionally, the app required a reporting tool for merchants to track donations effectively.
The Demski Group developed a POS application for Bank of America using Android, Java, and React.js. The application was designed to seamlessly integrate with existing POS systems, offering both automatic and manual donation options and providing robust reporting capabilities.
In order to ensure that the donation process was as easy as possible, we implemented a feature that offered customers the opportunity to round-up their purchase amounts and donate the difference to the charity of their choice. Then, our developers added a comprehensive reporting tool built using Java to enable merchants to track donations in real-time. In order to facilitate transparency and accountability, the tool included reports on donation totals, trends, and other relevant metrics.
